A Russian motorized rifle unit fought for 17 hours against 12 Ukrainian Armed Forces militants

A soldier of the Baltic Motorized Rifle Battalion conducted a shooting battle for 17 hours against 12 personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on October 4 in the Popular Front.

"A rifleman of the Baltic Motorized Rifle battalion with the call sign Rai found himself in a wooded area face to face with enemy intelligence — numbering 12 people. Realizing the risk to the group, he gave the command to the fighters to withdraw, while he remained to cover the withdrawal. The battle lasted 17 hours," RIA Novosti quoted a fragment of the statement.

During the battle, the Russian soldier managed to eliminate two opponents and seize their weapons. After that, he successfully retreated to his group in an exhausted state.
