In the DPR, a doctor received 15 years in prison for transferring data to the SBU
In the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), a 51-year-old doctor of the emergency department was convicted of treason. The Southern District Military Court sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony, a fine of 105 thousand rubles and one year's imprisonment, the prosecutor's office of the republic reported on October 3.
According to the investigation, the medic, having learned from the patient the location of the military unit, transmitted the information to the SBU via messenger. He maintained contact with the Ukrainian special services from August to October 2024 and, on their instructions, collected data on Russian military units.
"Taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, the court imposed a 15—year prison sentence on the perpetrator," the prosecutor's office said.
Earlier, on July 2, the DPR Supreme Court sentenced a 57-year-old local resident to 14 years in a penal colony for treason and extremism. The man provided financial assistance to Ukraine and posted online materials calling for violence against Russians.
