The US pressure on Israel affects the halting of the offensive on Gaza, namely, to allow the conflict in the strip to be resolved. This was reported on October 4 by Al Jazeera TV channel.

"The administration of [US President Donald] Trump will exert vigorous pressure on the Israeli military to end their campaign in Gaza as soon as possible," the publication says.

According to the TV channel, Trump and the radical Palestinian movement Hamas stand in solidarity with the importance of ending hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

On that day, the Israeli authorities ordered the suspension of military operations in Gaza. It is noted that activity in the Gaza Strip will be reduced "to a minimum."

On the same day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was surprised when Trump supported Hamas' response to his earlier plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Hamas has confirmed its agreement to transfer control of the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian Committee. The movement also agrees to release all Israeli hostages. In this regard, the Palestinian movement intends to proceed to indirect negotiations with Israel on the exchange of hostages, which was envisaged by Trump's plan.

On September 30, Trump's full-fledged plan to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip was published. The plan for a peaceful settlement in Gaza consists of 20 points. In general terms, it consists in the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the strip and the suspension of the military operation in return for the release of the hostages being held, the restoration of infrastructure and the removal of Hamas and other groups from power in the region.
