The Turkish Foreign Ministry called for negotiations to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip. This was announced on October 3 in a statement from the ministry.

"We call on the parties to immediately begin negotiations to achieve a ceasefire and implement a two—state solution supported by the international community," the statement said.

Turkey also called on Israel to stop attacks on Gaza.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said that the response of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas to US President Donald Trump's plan to resolve the situation in Gaza would allow not only a cease-fire, but also the delivery of humanitarian aid to residents of the occupied territory.

"The Hamas response <...> will immediately establish a ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to the region," the statement said.
