Russian fighter Nurmagomedov became the PFL lightweight champion

Russian fighter Usman Nurmagomedov became the champion at the Professional Fighting League (PFL) Champions Series 3 lightweight tournament, defeating Irishman Paul Hughes. The fight took place on October 3rd.

The competition lasted five rounds and ended with Nurmagomedov's victory by unanimous decision — 50-45, 49-46, 48-47.

"Nurmagomedov has 20 wins, one fight was declared invalid. Hughes has 14 wins with three losses," Sport-Express reported.

Earlier, on August 16, Russian fighter Gadzhi Rabadanov was defeated in the final match of the PFL world tour against British athlete Alfie Davis. The fight lasted five rounds and ended with Davis winning by unanimous decision.
