The Palestinian Hamas movement has declared its readiness to release all living Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip and hand over the bodies of the dead. This is stated in the message of the organization, published on October 3 in the Telegram channel.

"Hamas agrees to release all living hostages and return the bodies of the dead in accordance with the formula outlined by the President of the United States, and provided that a suitable environment is provided for the exchange," the statement said.

In addition, the movement agreed to transfer control of Gaza to the Palestinian authority from independent technocrat politicians. At the same time, Hamas stressed that the future of the enclave should be discussed at the national level.

Earlier, on September 29, the White House published a plan by US President Donald Trump to resolve the conflict in Gaza. The document provides for the withdrawal of Israeli troops, the release of hostages, the restoration of infrastructure and the transfer of power to independent bodies. The next day, Trump gave Hamas several days to agree to the terms.
