A new rugby stadium has appeared in Fili Park in Moscow. This was announced on Friday, October 3, by the President of the Russian Rugby Federation Igor Artemyev.

He noted that the arena will become a modern center for teams, fans and the development of sports infrastructure, giving a new impetus to rugby in the country.

Ivan Lysko, General Director of the Fili Club, added that the playground will allow for more training and attract children to classes, NSN notes. According to him, the presence of a rugby field is the basis for the club's development, and there are few such facilities in Moscow, so the stadium will become a "big breath of air" for the sports community of the capital, the website reports. kp.ru .

The stadium occupies 1.4 hectares, includes an artificial 120×80 m field with a special cover, a rugby gate and stands for 704 seats, the Moscow City News agency writes. The arena meets the requirements for the matches of the Major League and the Moscow Championship, IA Regnum clarifies.
