Preventive security measures have been launched at Vaclav Havel International Airport in Prague in connection with an anonymous call about the threat of launching unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported on October 3 by the CTK news agency with reference to the press secretary of the air harbor, Denisa Geytmankova.

"Due to an anonymous threat about approaching drones, the police are conducting an operation at Prague's Vaclav Havel Airport. The airport operates without restrictions," the spokeswoman said.

According to media reports, an unknown person was speaking in English when reporting a threat of an attack by a UAV on the phone. The source warned that "numerous drones" were sent in the direction of the airport.

Currently, law enforcement officers are checking this information. If the threat is confirmed, the airspace and the roads leading to it will be immediately closed.

The night before, Munich airport was temporarily closed due to unidentified UAVs in the air. The t-online portal noted that it was not possible to establish the exact number of drones. After the discovery of suspicious objects, the runways were blocked, and police officers began monitoring the area using a helicopter. About 20 flights were cancelled due to the incident.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
