Muscovites appreciated the program "Friend, rescuer, defender"
The voting on the series of events "Friend, Rescuer, Defender", which took place at the sites of the Pets in Moscow project, has ended on the capital's Active Citizen portal.
According to Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital, the citizens highly appreciated the program, noting their favorite formats and suggesting ways to improve them. Classes with dog handlers, free photo shoots and mobile grooming services received positive feedback during the voting.
"The participants highlighted the demonstration performances of service dogs, which is one of the most popular formats," the vice mayor said. "Among the wishes of Muscovites is to further expand the geography of the project, increase the number of contests and hold separate events for pets of different breeds."
This year, the "Friend, Rescuer, Defender" program included about 200 events, from master classes and competitions to consultations with veterinarians and meetings with artists. The events were held from May 24 to September 14, and were attended by over 30,000 people.
The Pets in Moscow project is being implemented as part of the Mayor's My District program, which aims to create comfortable living conditions throughout the city.
