A woman died in an accident in the east of Moscow. This was reported in the press service of the metropolitan traffic police on Friday, October 3.

"According to preliminary data, on Preobrazhensky Val Street in the area of house 26, the driver of a Kia car ran over a woman who fell onto the roadway after losing her balance while at a public transport stop located in the middle of the roadway," the department told the Moscow city news agency.

The woman died from her injuries, reports 360.ru .

The investigative and operational group and traffic police officers are working at the scene of the accident. The details of the incident are being clarified.

Over the past day, 315 road accidents have occurred on Russian roads, in which 26 people were killed and 367 injured. 16 of the dead were drivers and passengers. This was reported to Izvestia on October 3 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry.

As a result of 101 accidents involving pedestrians, 44 of which occurred at pedestrian crossings and 57 outside their area of operation, 10 pedestrians were killed, and 97 more were injured in various degrees of severity. Among the injured were 21 minor pedestrians, 11 of whom were injured when crossing the roadway outside the designated areas.

Earlier, on September 29, 25-year-old Anastasia Tsapok, the daughter of crime boss Sergei Tsapok, crashed into an apartment building in her Mercedes car, NSN reports.

She rode an elite foreign car in the village of Nikolaevka with her friend. According to preliminary data, both participants in the accident were drunk, RT reports.
