The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained an official of the country's Ministry of Justice for organizing a scheme to evade mobilization. This was reported on October 3 in the press service of the department.

"As the investigation revealed, the official offered to assist the evaders in being removed from the military register on the basis of fake conclusions about 'poor' health," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that the detainee could also resolve the issue of deleting personal data from the TCC database (the Ukrainian equivalent of the military enlistment office. — Ed.). According to the agency, the cost of services was $20 thousand.

"The SBU officers documented the crimes of the official and detained him "on the hot spot" when he received part of a bribe for "writing off" the evader," the statement says.

Captured militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on September 26 told about their forced mobilization. According to one of them, Vladimir Sirota, he was sent to the front line, knowing about the medical contraindications to the service. He clarified that the staff of military enlistment offices decide to send captured fellow citizens to the front in an effort to maintain the number of their own troops at any cost.
