Japan called the "Hazel Tree" Russia's response to NATO threats
One of the possible countermeasures in the event of a threat to Russian sovereignty from the West could be the Oreshnik missile. This was reported on September 3 by the Japanese newspaper Nikkei.
"Mass production of the new Oreshnik medium-range missile, which covers the whole of Europe, is due to begin in Russia in 2025, and it is also planned to deploy in Belarus this year. There is a possibility that he had these steps in mind," the publication says.
Earlier, at the XXII annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club, Russian President Vladimir Putin reported on the growing militarization of European countries, and also criticized statements that Russia was allegedly preparing an attack on NATO. He called these claims a lie, but stressed that in case of a threat to sovereignty, Russia would respond quickly.
