The participants of the "Flowers of Moscow" campaign decorated public spaces in each district with plants.

The Flowers of Moscow campaign is taking place in the capital's districts, as part of which potted plants previously used in the summer urban decoration of the Gardens and Flowers festival have been transferred to decorate public spaces. This was announced by Dmitry Presnov, head of the Department of Territorial Executive Authorities of Moscow.

"The campaign is aimed at prolonging the life of summer plants. Thanks to her, more than 25,000 flowers decorated cultural centers, kindergartens, city councils, libraries, veterans' councils, and many others. Active citizens — public advisers, young parliamentarians, and volunteers — helped in this," Dmitry Presnov said.

The plants were distributed to institutions in different districts of the city. In Krasnopakhorsky district, flowers appeared in the Zvezdny Cultural Center and the On the Turn Museum dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. In library No. 185 of the Kotlovka district, visitors are now greeted by bright compositions at the entrance. In Nekrasovka and Golovinsky district, flowers decorated the councils of veterans. "This is symbolic: the summer splendor now pleases those who have worked all their lives for the benefit of the capital," said Lidiya Vyunova, a public adviser.

In the Warm Camp, the plants were received by the Council of Veterans, the regional organization of the All-Russian Society of the Disabled and the Ivanov-Kramskoy Music School. "Just as flowers transform urban space, music transforms the inner world of a person," the teachers of the institution noted. In Shcherbinka, flowers filled the greenhouse at the Semitsvetik kindergarten.

Potted plants were also transferred to non-profit organizations. Among them are the Wings of Kindness cultural and leisure center in the Pokrovskoye—Streshnevo district, the Mossovet territorial administration in Ivanovskoye and the Bastion Club in the Khamovniki district.

The action was supported by deputies of the Moscow City Duma and municipal deputies.
