In Moscow, the House of Culture "GES-2" has replaced the provocative, sensational "Clay 4" with a much more neutral thing that can be associated with the neighboring birch grove, planted from scratch during the reconstruction of the building, but in general the approach has been preserved. This was announced on October 3 by Sergey Uvarov, Candidate of Art History, Izvestia columnist.

So, a sculpture of the classics of pop art, artists Clas Oldenburg and Cauchy van Bruggen "Garden Shovel" was installed at the Recreation center.

GES-2 consistently teaches the public that sculpture on a city street is not necessarily a realistic representation of a person, but often something unexpected. And the goal here is, on the one hand, educational, and on the other, of course, marketing: to attract people to the House of Culture — both just walking around Moscow and casually passing by, and having read about all these twists and turns on the Internet," he said.

According to Uvarov, this would be impossible with traditional works. However, it should be borne in mind that in many cities, for example, Barcelona or Berlin, such sculptures on the streets will not surprise anyone and the citizens do not see anything strange in them, the expert added.

On July 28, the sculpture "Big Clay No. 4" began to be dismantled at the GES-2 House of Culture in Moscow. It was installed in 2021. The press service of the Recreation Center noted that the sculpture consists of pieces of clay, kneaded by the artist's hand, and then magnified many times and cast in aluminum. Later, on September 25, it was reported that the sculpture was installed in the courtyard of the Novatek building in Moscow.
