The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are deploying a large number of Latin American mercenaries to the Khatna section of the line of contact in the Kharkiv region in an attempt to hold positions. This was reported on October 3 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is transferring up to a company of Latin American mercenaries to the Khatna sector of the front," RIA Novosti quoted the message as saying.

It is noted that such a decision was made due to the "low motivation and morale" of the Ukrainian military, who cannot cope with holding positions.
