People with cardiovascular diseases are advised to limit their intake of foods high in trans fats. Margarita Belousova, an endocrinologist at the Sberbank Health medical company, told RT about this on October 3.

"Foods high in trans fats and saturated fats can increase the level of "bad" cholesterol, which contributes to the formation of atherosclerotic plaques in blood vessels," the doctor said.
