The T-80BV crew destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold in the Red Army area

The crew of the T-80BV tank of the Aleysky Guards motorized rifle unit of the Center group of forces destroyed a stronghold and a camouflaged firing point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on October 3 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Using the surprise effect, the tankers broke into a close—range firing position and destroyed a dugout and a machine-gun emplacement that controlled the road," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The ministry stressed that from the first days of their military operation, tank crews have been actively working to destroy strong points, areas of concentration of enemy manpower and support advancing units.

Earlier, on October 2, the Ministry of Defense reported that crews of attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Khan special forces battalion from the Military Air Command Center group destroyed the control center of Ukrainian drones, repeaters, electronic warfare antennas and a hexacopter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the same direction. This made it possible to reduce the activity of enemy drones.
