Al Jazeera reported on Hamas' comments on Trump's Gaza plan

The radical Palestinian movement Hamas has comments on the plan, which was developed, discussed with Israel and sent to Palestine by US President Donald Trump. This was reported on October 2 by Al Jazeera TV channel with reference to a member of the Hamas politburo.

It is noted that the movement intends to come to an agreement between the parties to the conflict. However, Hamas will not accept the deal if it does not take into account the position of Palestine.

"We are acting in a way that serves the interests of the Palestinian people and takes into account all political considerations. <...> Our goal in this discussion is to stop the genocide of the Palestinian people," said a broadcast posted on the Al Jazeera YouTube channel.

The radical group insists on the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the territory of the sector and the gradual release of hostages.

Earlier, on September 29, it was reported that Trump's full-fledged plan to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip was published on the White House's page on the social network X. The plan for a peaceful settlement in Gaza consists of 20 points. In general terms, it consists in the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the strip and the suspension of the military operation in return for the release of the hostages being held, the restoration of infrastructure and the removal of Hamas and other groups from power in the region.
