The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Nicaragua, it was reported on October 2.

"Ukraine declares the severance of diplomatic relations with the Republic of Nicaragua," the Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry stressed that the decision is related to the recognition by the Latin American country of Crimea, the DPR, the LPR, the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions as part of the territory of Russia.
