According to the expert, in the off-season, the most common problem with cars is related to the malfunction of the windshield washer motor after the first frost.

"Frozen liquid can damage the nozzles and the washer motor itself," Petrov explained in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

He advised changing the summer liquid to the winter liquid in advance to avoid such troubles.

If the liquid is still frozen, then one of the ways to solve the problem is to warm up the car in an indoor and heated room, for example, in the parking lot of a shopping center.

The expert noted that another important mistake is the use of oil of inappropriate viscosity.

"This is especially true before winter, when it is important to replace the oil with a more liquid one suitable for low temperatures," said the auto expert.

He explained that too thick oil would not be able to reach operating temperature quickly in the cold and would not properly perform its lubricating functions, leading to damage to the motor.

Petrov added that in the off-season it is worth paying attention to radiators, it is recommended to flush them not only at the end of the season, but also before it.
