Putin pointed out the pointlessness of abandoning oil from Russia for India

The refusal to import oil from Russia will cause India the same damage as the secondary US sanctions for the lack of such a solution. This was announced on October 2 by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the plenary session of the XXII annual meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club.

"If India refuses our energy resources, then it will suffer certain damage. <...> And if it does not refuse, then sanctions will be imposed in the form of these high duties. And there will be damage too. What will it be like? Yes, the same. Then why refuse?" the president noted.
