Residents of Transbaikalia were warned about heavy snow

The Ministry of Emergency Situations warned residents of the Trans-Baikal Territory about wet snow. A sharp cold snap is expected in some places.

According to forecasts, the wind speed will reach 15-20 m/s. The temperature is predicted to drop by 10 degrees or more, writes the ChitaMedia news agency. Temporary snow cover is likely to be established during the snowfall.

Due to the cold snap, the risk of household fires when using stoves and electrical appliances is increasing. Residents of the region are asked to be careful not to use faulty equipment.

Forecasters have issued a storm warning in the Amur Region. Precipitation in the form of snow and wind strengthening up to 20 m/s are likely from October 3 to October 5.
