Nine new nature reserves will appear in the Krasnodar Territory

Nine new specially protected natural territories will be created in the Krasnodar Territory. Their total area will be 2.37 thousand hectares.

The new reserves are located in Anapa, Abinsky, Kushchevsky, Shcherbinovsky districts and Tuapse municipal District. This is reported by KrasnodarMedia news agency. Among them are the Kartushina Gulch, the Shkurinsky gullies of the Yeya River, the Nikolaevsky pod and the Alekseevskoye tract.

In the Tuapse district, Shkolnaya Mountain received a special status. A population of orchids and other rare plants were found on the territory. In Anapa, the Buzhorsky forest, where snowdrops listed in the Red Book grow, was recognized as a natural monument.

In total, there are 481 specially protected natural territories in Kuban. 354 territories have regional status, 120 have local status, and seven have federal status.
