Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has been discharged from a hospital in Moscow, where he ended up after a poisoning attempt. This was reported on October 2 by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, citing data from a private source.
"Bashar al—Assad was discharged from a hospital on the outskirts of the Russian capital yesterday morning, and now his health condition is stable," the organization's page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Prior to that, on September 19, the Slovak newspaper Pravda reported that the court had heard testimony from the bodyguards of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who were present at the time of the assassination attempt on the politician in May 2024.
