Statistics on the actual mileage of cargo drones that run on the M-11 and the Central Ring Road will become public. The data about it will be disclosed by the Ministry of Transport and GLONASS JSC, the proposal was supported by the government of the Russian Federation, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 2.

The information will be posted on the websites of the agency and the operating company. Quantitative data will be published first, and then qualitative data. Among them are the trouble—free mileage and the distance traveled without intercepting the operator's control.

"The publication of such information will become a tool for assessing technological maturity and accelerate the transition from experimentation to commercial operation of drones on the country's roads," said Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev.

To date, there are more than 60 cargo drones operating in Russia. Over the past 2.5 years of the implementation of the federal project "Unmanned Logistics Corridors", they have traveled over 8.5 million km. Data about cars is collected online by the ERA-GLONASS-based unmanned vehicle identification system.

Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev said that the Ministry of Transport is developing a draft federal law that will regulate the use of highly automated vehicles on public roads, with the planned entry into force in the third quarter of 2027.

On August 13, it was reported that an autonomous Navio tractor covered the 1,600 km St. Petersburg-Kazan route in a day. The truck drove along the M-11 Neva, A-113 Central Ring Road and M-12 Vostok highways in 24 hours. At the same time, a standard flight from St. Petersburg to Kazan takes an average of 58 hours, as the driver must comply with the work and rest regime.
