Reconstruction of a water pipeline has begun near the bus station in Pskov.

Reconstruction of the cold water pipeline section began in the bus station area in Pskov. The work is being carried out by the contractor of the municipal enterprise Gorvodokanal, the press service of the enterprise reported on Thursday, October 2.

A 300 mm diameter pipe to be repaired connects two water pipes coming from the surface intake of the Velikaya River. One of them supplies drinking water to the central part of the city, the second to the Kresty and Lyubyatovo neighborhoods.

Modernization of the pipe is necessary to ensure the water balance in the distribution network of the regional capital and guaranteed cold water pressure in the Crosses. This neighborhood is considered critical from the point of view of the supply of drinking water, since the water supply laid there is not looped.

Employees of Gorvodokanal assured that consumers would not be disconnected from the water supply system during the work. The estimated completion date is the third decade of October 2025.

As the Pskov News feed notes, the reconstruction affects the center of the Vokzalnaya Street carriageway nearby. Drivers were asked to be extremely careful while driving around the excavation site.

Earlier it was reported that on September 29, a planned heating start was launched in Pskov. The batteries will be switched on in apartment buildings and social facilities within a week.
