The economist named the condition of compulsory collection of property tax
If the payment of property tax is overdue by 30 days, funds may be written off from accounts forcibly. Anna Polyakova, an economist and head of the Moscow branch of the Independent Trade Union Novy Trud, warned about this on Thursday, October 2. She also spoke about the consequences of non-payment of property taxes.
"If within 30 days you do not prove that the charges are incorrect or file an objection, the money will be forcibly withdrawn from bank accounts, electronic wallets and even digital rubles. At the same time, the minimum wage amount should remain in the account," the economist said in an interview with Lenta.Ru He added that if there are not enough funds, the property will be seized.
Polyakova noted that the only housing and basic necessities could not be seized.
The expert also mentioned the loss of business reputation among the consequences of non-payment of tax, as the Federal Tax Service (FTS) will notify the employer of the debt.
"After two months of delay, with a debt of 10,000 rubles or more, you will not be able to travel abroad, even on a business trip, either by land transport or by plane. The status of an individual entrepreneur will complicate the situation, since the recovery will take place through the court and often concerns large amounts. Plus, if the authorities discover that you have also underpaid business taxes, it threatens administrative and even criminal liability," the economist concluded.
On September 14, it became known that blogger Vlad Paper (Vlad A4) had a debt to the Federal Tax Service in the amount of over 2 million rubles, NSN reports. In case of non-payment of the debt, the blogger faces fines, penalties and account blocking, IA Regnum reports.
On September 9, Anastasia Morgunova, co-founder and product director of the My Business company, told Izvestia that tax evasion could lead to a ban on traveling abroad or refusals to issue loans. Even a relatively small debt, starting from 30 thousand rubles, has unpleasant consequences.
On August 18, the Opora Russia business association, representing the interests of small and medium-sized businesses, put forward a request to replace fines for tax reporting violations committed for the first time with warnings. The association believes that the introduction of warnings will avoid excessive punishment for taxpayers who have committed minor offenses, including for being late in submitting a declaration. It is expected that this measure will increase the level of tax discipline.
