In the Kherson region, FSB officers detained two Ukrainian citizens who had been trained to carry out terrorist attacks. This was announced on October 2 by Governor Vladimir Saldo.

"Now both would—be terrorists have been detained, and criminal cases have been opened against them under Article 205.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for up to 20 years in prison," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

It is noted that in August last year, while in Ukraine, the defendants voluntarily joined an illegal formation, where they subsequently learned how to handle weapons and mine-blasting.

The day before, the FSB detained five Russian citizens who were preparing mass killings in Donetsk, Mariupol, Krasnoyarsk and Orel. It was noted that the arrests took place as part of preventive measures in 75 regions of the country aimed at curbing the spread of the ideology of violence, extremism and suicide among young people.
