Peskov: Putin will take part in the G20
Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the G20 summit, which will be held on November 21-22 in the Republic of South Africa (South Africa). This was announced on October 2 by presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
"Anyway, he (Putin. — Ed.) will take part in the G20. In any case, the participation of the Russian side will be at the proper level and as active as possible," Peskov said, answering questions from journalists.
He added that Russia is actively involved in all segments of the G20 work.
Svetlana Lukash, Russia's sherpa at the G20, stressed on September 27 that Putin's participation in the G20 summit in South Africa was in the process of being agreed. She added that the final decision on the format of participation has not yet been approved.
