A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces defeated formations of the mechanized and jaeger brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Sumy region. Units of two mechanized and motorized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit in the Kharkov direction. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 200 soldiers, a tank, an armored combat vehicle, three vehicles and a field artillery piece. An electronic warfare (EW) station and seven material depots were destroyed.

The Zapad group of troops has improved its position along the front line. Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. The enemy's losses amounted to over 230 military personnel, three HMMWV armored vehicles made in the USA, 14 vehicles and an artillery piece. Four electronic warfare stations and six ammunition depots were destroyed.

The military personnel of the South group of forces improved their tactical situation and defeated the formations of three mechanized, mountain assault, airmobile, assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy lost up to 235 military personnel, two Western-made armored fighting vehicles and seven vehicles. Eight ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

The Center group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine brigades in the DPR were defeated. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 515 soldiers, a tank, two Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, a Cossack armored fighting vehicle and three pickups.

The Vostok group of troops continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Formations of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions were defeated. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 295 military personnel, two armored combat vehicles and five vehicles.

The Dnepr group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the formations of the mechanized and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the districts of Stepovoye, Malaya Tokmachka, Zaporizhia region and Lviv, Kherson region. Up to 35 Ukrainian servicemen, an electronic warfare station and an ammunition depot were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated a transport infrastructure facility that provided the work of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, assembly and storage sites for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, ammunition depots, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 138 districts.

A US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher and 142 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 87,644 unmanned aerial vehicles, 631 anti-aircraft missile systems, 25,327 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,592 multiple rocket launchers, 30,115 field artillery and mortars, 43,055 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
