Sakhalin launched a new fish processing complex
A new automated fish processing complex was opened in the village of Ozersky in the Korsakov district of the Sakhalin Region. On October 2, Nikolai Patrushev, Assistant to the President of Russia and Chairman of the Maritime Board, took part in the ceremony.
"Today we are launching a new, modern fish processing plant, which will contribute to the socio-economic development of the Sakhalin Region and improve the well—being of its residents," he said.
At the event, Patrushev stressed that the project would help strengthen Russia's food security and give a new impetus to the development of the fishing industry in the country. He also expressed confidence that many more promising projects will be implemented on Sakhalin, noting the high qualifications of local specialists working at the new enterprise.
