The governor of the Volgograd Region, Andrei Bocharov, said that on the night of October 2, the air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry repelled a drone attack on the region.

According to him, the fall of debris was recorded in the Novonikolaevsky district, where dry vegetation caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished.

"In the village of Yelan, a private household and adjacent outbuildings were damaged. There are no casualties," he is quoted as saying on the Telegram channel of the regional administration.

The head of the region noted that all services worked promptly, there is no threat to residents.

Earlier, on September 30, Bocharov reported a massive UAV attack, after which two fires of dry vegetation occurred on the border of Volgograd and the power supply to three settlements was disrupted. No casualties were recorded then.
