A fire near a maternity hospital in Moscow engulfed garages and cars

In the south-east of Moscow, near maternity hospital No. 8, on the night of October 2, a fire broke out. According to a source in Izvestia, the fire spread to four garages and two Gazelles.

Eyewitnesses tried to help extinguish the fire before the services arrived.

"I put it out with my jacket—what else was there to put it out? They called me and said something was on fire. I arrived, saw it, and started putting it out with my jacket," one of them said.

City services continue to eliminate the fire, the causes of the fire are being established. Information about the victims is being clarified.

Earlier, on October 1, a fire occurred in an apartment building on Trade Union Street in the southwest of the capital. During the firefighting, rescuers evacuated 15 people and took six more out of smoke-filled apartments, handing them over to doctors for examination. 26 specialists and seven pieces of equipment participated in the operation.
