The US White House intends to begin mass layoffs of department employees due to the temporary suspension of government funding (shutdown). This was reported by the Politico newspaper on October 1, citing sources.

"The head of the US Office of Administration and Budget, Russ Vaught, said <...> that the administration would begin mass layoffs or layoffs of federal employees "in a day or two," the publication said.

It is noted that during the shutdown, benefits for the remaining federal employees will be reduced.

Wout clarified that some programs to support low-income families will also be suspended in the United States due to the shutdown. Starting from October 15, the military will stop receiving salaries if federal government funding is not resumed. At the same time, the Washington administration will review the decision to allocate funds for infrastructure development in New York State.
