All blood diseases are divided into two main groups: tumor and non-tumor. Anemia is classified as non-cancerous, which accounts for up to 85% of all pathologies of the blood system.
"Non—tumor diseases of the blood system are conventionally divided into anemia, cytopenia, and blood clotting disorders <...> Annually in Russia, about 30 thousand tumor diseases of the blood system and about 200 thousand non-tumor diseases are diagnosed," the doctor concluded.
