In Dublin, Ireland, 47-year-old Anne-Marie O'Gorman died from electric shock in the bathroom, where she was using an iPhone connected to charging. This was reported by the Metro newspaper on October 1.

It is noted that upon returning home, the husband found his wife unconscious. The victim had burns on her chest and arm.

It is assumed that the phone fell into the water. When the woman tried to reach him, her finger accidentally touched a metal shower head, as a result of which she received a fatal discharge.

According to the husband of the deceased, advertising of modern smartphones misleads users, instilling in them the "illusion of safety" and the waterproofness of the devices. In his opinion, the company should warn about such dangers, especially about using chargers near water.

Earlier, on February 4, in the city of Kondopoga in the Republic of Karelia, a woman died from electric shock due to using a phone in the shower. It is noted that death occurred instantly.
