The Russian Embassy pointed to Canada's role in covering up the shelling of the nuclear power plant from Ukraine.

Canada is covering for Ukraine, whose armed forces are shelling the territory of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) and committing a nuclear crime. Such a comment was made on October 1 at the Russian Embassy in Canada in the Telegram channel.

"ZAES is a Russian nuclear facility, our people are there, and it makes no sense for us to endanger it. It is obvious that this is the work of the Kiev regime, which has been deliberately firing heavy weapons and drone strikes at the nuclear power plant, its supporting infrastructure and the adjacent town of Energodar for several years," the embassy said.
