Activists of the Sumud flotilla reported on the landing of the Israeli military on ships

Israeli army soldiers boarded the ships of the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), which was heading to the Gaza Strip with humanitarian supplies. This was announced on October 1 on the flotilla's page on the social network X.

"Our vessels are being illegally intercepted. The cameras are turned off, and the military has boarded the ships," the message says.

It is specified that currently the participants of the movement are actively working to confirm the safety of all on board.

Earlier in the day, the Anadolu Ajansi news agency reported that the Israeli army is preparing for an operation against the ships of the Global Sumud Fleet to prevent the blockade from breaking through and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

On September 30, it was reported that one of the GSF members may be involved in the activities of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah. In confirmation of this, the Israeli Foreign Ministry published a photo in which one of the participants of the Tiago Avila flotilla is allegedly at a farewell ceremony with the movement's Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed on September 27, 2024 as a result of the bombing in Beirut.
