A suspect in the murder of a woman and her daughters has been detained in the Ulyanovsk region.

During the investigation of the murder in Ulyanovsk of a 27-year-old woman and her two daughters, the head of the family suspected of the crime was detained. This was announced on October 1 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Ulyanovsk region.

"It has been established that on October 1, in one of the apartments at No. 22 Kievsky Boulevard in Ulyanovsk, a 27-year—old man killed his wife and young children, after which he inflicted incised wounds on his forearms," the department's Telegram channel says.

The consequences of the crime were discovered by the suspect's mother. The man received medical assistance, after which he was taken to the regional department for the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. The investigation must establish the motive and circumstances of the crime.

The murder in Ulyanovsk became known earlier on October 1. The bodies of a 27-year-old woman and her two daughters with signs of violent death were found in the apartment by their mother-in-law, who came to visit her grandchildren.
