Those accused of murdering biker Kirill Kovalev in the Moscow district of Lyublino deliberately went to conflict. This was stated by a relative of the motorcyclist, the Izvestia correspondent reported on October 1.

The man noted that the remark made to Shahin Abbasov from behind the parking lot was not the first. According to him, he regularly parked the car near the entrance, which caused outrage among residents. He recalled that on the day of the tragedy, Shahin was carrying a knife, and his brother Shohrat was allegedly carrying a pistol in the car.

"Kirill was a successful student, he had a good job, and he played sports. He had no bad habits. <...> He believed too much that there were normal people around. That everyone should comply with the law," said Kovalev's relative.

The biker's relatives are convinced that those responsible for his death deserve a life sentence. Earlier on October 1, the court postponed the announcement of the verdict to the defendants in the case. They decided to resume the investigation in order to interview several more witnesses.

The murder took place on April 17 on Krasnodarskaya Street. Kirill Kovalev, a 24-year-old motorcyclist, made a remark to the driver, Shahin Abbasov, who parked the car on the sidewalk at the entrance of an apartment building. In response, he punched and kicked him multiple times, and stabbed him in the abdomen. Shahin's brother hit him several more times. The Abbasovs then fled the scene of the crime. The victim died in the hospital the next day.

A criminal case was opened into the murder. The defendant was soon detained in the Rostov region along with two accomplices. Abbasov's father and friend were also detained. Kovalev's family demanded compensation in the amount of 100 million rubles. The state prosecution has requested sentences ranging from 9.5 to 17 years in a high-security penal colony for six defendants accused of murdering biker Kovalev.
