The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) took control of the Netzarim corridor, dividing Gaza into northern and southern parts. This was announced on October 1 in the press service of the department.

"Over the past 24 hours, IDF troops have launched targeted ground operations in the northern Gaza Strip aimed at strengthening and maintaining operational control over the Netzarim corridor," the IDF wrote on its Telegram channel.
