Russians are expected to have a three-day weekend from November 2 to November 4. An HR agency expert told Izvestia about this on October 3. "Kadri.pro " Alexander Fetkevich.

According to him, on Saturday, November 1, the working day will be shortened, followed by the long-awaited weekend: November 2, 3 and 4, timed to celebrate National Unity Day. Later, on November 5, Russians will return to their usual working rhythm.

"The November holidays are good because they give you the opportunity to arrange a small vacation in the middle of autumn — to get out of the city, spend time with your family, or just catch your breath before winter. At the same time, there will be no postponements for next year: all rest days remain in November itself," Fetkevich stressed.

Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, said on September 30 that the initiative to make December 31 a permanent day off was logical and would allow citizens to make plans in advance on New Year's Eve. She recalled that a similar idea had previously been supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
