A special fire protection regime was abolished in the Stavropol Territory. Together with him, restrictions on visiting forests were lifted — they were in effect from July 1 to September 30, the press service of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment reports.

For the duration of the restrictions, vehicles were prohibited from entering the forest, setting up camp sites, holding mass events and organizing camps outside the designated areas. The exception was through travel on public roads to visit recreation centers and other similar facilities, as well as picking mushrooms and berries.

The forests of the region were heavily patrolled by inspectors who examined more than 800 thousand. Special attention was paid to the popular forests on Kavminvody and territories near cities. During this period, 28 people were caught in violations — all of them were driving through the forest in vehicles. 16 protocols have been compiled, writes IA StavropolMedia.

The agency said that although the fire danger class has been lowered to 2-3 classes, this is not a reason to lose vigilance, as trees burn in any weather. Many forests of Stavropol region are included in the zone of specially protected natural territories, where stricter restrictive measures are in effect.
