Tactical exercises of the Bal coastal anti-ship complexes (PKK) have started in the missile compound of the Leningrad Naval Base of the Baltic Fleet, the press service of the Baltic Fleet reported on October 1.

The calculations began working out tasks as part of the planned combat training of the forces. According to the plan of the maneuvers, the units marched in columns from their permanent locations to designated concentration areas. There, the military will work out the standards for alerting launchers and camouflaging vehicles.

"The rocket scientists are also conducting training on the organization of the protection of the position area, using coastal radar stations to detect targets, track them and determine coordinates," the military said.

Mobile launchers have been deployed on the coast of the Gulf of Finland to practice practical actions on the ground. From there, the military must strike at the ship's strike group of a simulated enemy by performing electronic missile launches.

At the end of the exercises, the technique will secretly change positions. About 150 military personnel and about 20 units of automotive and special equipment of the coastal missile unit of the Leningrad Naval Base are involved in the exercises.

Prior to that, on September 13, the northern fleet, as part of the Zapad-2025 exercises, practiced a missile battle against an amphibious detachment of a simulated enemy on the Northern Sea Route. The servicemen used detection equipment to identify and destroy the forces of the imaginary enemy using DP-61 "Duel" grenade launchers. In addition, during the exercises, the personnel of the Baltic Fleet managed to prevent the breakthrough of conditional saboteurs to the ships.
