A court in Moscow fined TikTok 7 million rubles.

The Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined the social network TikTok with short videos 7 million rubles. This was reported on October 1 in the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

It clarifies that the platform is accused of repeated failure to fulfill the obligation to monitor the social network and take measures to restrict access to information (Part 3 of Article 13.50 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation).

"An administrative penalty has been imposed in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of seven million rubles," the Telegram channel says.

In addition, the court also imposed a fine of 3.5 million rubles to Apple Distribution International Ltd for failure to delete information prohibited in Russia.

On the eve of the Tagansky District Court, the Telegram messenger was also fined 3.5 million rubles for not deleting information prohibited in Russia (Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation).
