UAZ assessed the prospects for the return of the expeditionary Patriot
The UAZ Patriot SUV in an expeditionary modification will return to the assembly line of the enterprise in the future. This was announced on October 1 in the press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant.
"In the future, such a complete set will certainly appear, because there is a great desire to produce a car with improved qualities and in a decent configuration, namely with the presence of all systems that were lost due to circumstances, without exception," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quotes a representative of UAZ.
UAZ stopped production of off-road vehicles in 2023 due to a change of suppliers due to sanctions. In this modification, the cars were equipped with BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires, a roof rack, a winch and steering rod protection, a traction device and other equipment.
At the same time, last spring it was reported that UAZ resumed production of expedition versions of the SGR ("Loaf") and Hunter models, they were estimated at 1.69 million and 1.79 million rubles, respectively.
Earlier, on September 29, it became known that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant released a batch of gasoline Patriots and Pickups with a new six-speed manual transmission, which will be sent for certification tests. In early September, UAZ began completing a test cycle of the upgraded 150-horsepower 2.7-liter ZMZ Pro gasoline engine.
