Attempts to prevent the development of a multipolar world will only weaken the positions of those who take such actions. This was stated on October 1 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), answering a question from Izvestia on the sidelines of the Valdai International Discussion Club.

He stressed that countries that are aware of the multipolar reality interact well with each other.

"People who want to prevent a multipolar world are making mistakes. They are quarreling with the Indian and Chinese civilizations, and in the long run this only weakens their position," Dmitriev concluded.
