The Kremlin is analyzing US President Donald Trump's statements about Russian leader Vladimir Putin, but they have no effect on the essence of the Russian president's speech at the Valdai. This was announced on October 1 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"We analyze all of President Trump's statements with great attention. <...> At the same time, the president always makes conceptual speeches at Valdai, the essence of which is not subject to change due to the momentary conjuncture," he said, answering a question about Putin's possible change of his theses due to Trump's words.
