Over 5.2 thousand Muscovites and guests of the capital took part in the Promfest festival, which was held at the Luzhniki sports complex. This was announced by Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.

The event began with the final competitions within the framework of the Mosprom Sports Contest, an annual competition for representatives of Moscow factories and factories, as well as university and college students.

This year, competitions were held in 14 sports: billiards, swimming, athletics, basketball, volleyball, table and paddle tennis, hockey, mini-football, esports, darts, chess, badminton and go-karting. More than 1.5 thousand people made it to the finals, which united into more than 200 teams. The best in athletics and swimming in the team competition were employees of Gazpromneft-Moskovsky Oil Refinery and students of the National Research University of Moscow. In hockey, the first place was taken by the Rosenergoatom concern team and MADI students. In chess, Alexey Salimov (Moskabelmet) and Elviga Anchayeva (SNIP), as well as students from RTU MIREA and the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, took the medal for first place.

"According to the task of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the city pays special attention to the development and popularization of the industrial sector, including holding various events: from hackathons to search for digital solutions for industry to sports competitions and excursions," Liksutov said.

Over 36 thousand people have participated in the Mosprom Sports Contest for seven years.

Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow government and Head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department, noted that the Spartakiad has become an important part of the corporate culture of the capital's enterprises. "Participation helps business teams and students not only to prove themselves in sports, but also to establish business ties: to get to know each other, establish contacts and find partners to implement joint projects," Garbuzov emphasized.
