Nine people died in Odessa and the Odessa region due to bad weather.

In Odessa and the Odessa region, nine people were killed as a result of heavy rains, one of whom was a minor. This was announced on October 1 by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Telegram channel.

"Rescuers have been eliminating the effects of bad weather in Odessa and the Odessa region for almost a day. Nine people are now known to have died, one of whom is a child," the publication says.

It is specified that a total of 362 people were rescued in the flooded areas and 227 vehicles were evacuated. 255 rescuers and 68 pieces of equipment were involved in the work. At the moment, specialists continue to provide assistance to the victims.

Earlier, on September 29, in the Philippines, the number of families affected by typhoons Ragasa, Bualoy and Mitag, which struck Southeast Asian countries in the second half of September, reached 906 thousand. As a result of the disasters, 27 deaths were recorded, of which four were confirmed by local law enforcement agencies.
